1.25 m band?

Post by WA5TT » Sun Jun 28, 2015 5:37 pm

Visited the Bridgecom systems booth at HamCom and saw they had a 220 MHz repeater and were coming out with a mobile radio for that band. http://www.bridgecomsystems.com/

I'm not aware of how many 220 systems are reachable in the area or if this band has a future, but I would be interested if someone had any details or ideas to share.

Thanks!
Chris

DCARA has a 1.25M repeater on 224.920 with a -1.6M offset and a PL of 110.9. This machine is located on the top of Stark Tower and has a known footprint for mobile radios greater than the county limits. This band is experiencing a new awaking in popularity and more radios are coming out with 220 capability. Enjoy.

I guess I'll have to keep an eye out for a decent 1.25 rig in the future.

Thanks,
Chris
